Windstorm & thundershowers lashes many places of Himachal

Shimla, Apr 19 (UNI) Amid two days of orange alert in Himachal Pradesh, light to moderate rain along with windstorm and thundershowers lashed many places of state in past 24 hrs.

Indian Meteorological Department said that there were several spells of thunderstrom accompanied by high-speed windstorm, lightening and light to moderate rain in many places of state which contains the sudden rise of maximum temperature as it was normal on Tuesday.

This morning after overnight rough and thundeshowers it was overcast. There would no improvement in the prevailing rough and inclement weather conditions in next 24 hrs as well.

Met Office also predicted light to moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorms in next two to three hours at most places over the state.

Advisory has been issued about high possibility of heavy rainfall or hail and gusty winds at isolated places over the state.

Night temperature plummet due to inclement weather conditions and it likely to be normal in next two days as there is forecast of four days of inclement weather.

In weeklong forcast IMD predicted wet-weather conditions issuing orange alert of thunderstrom accompanied by high speed windstorm lightening and hailstorm.

Met Office issued orange alert for today and yellow alert for next two days owing to strong western disturbance and subsequent impact of Urbian sea cyclonic circulation in the northern Western Himalayas.

Weathermen cautioned people to not venture in open and protect their harvesting Kharif and growing Rabi crops from the impact of weather vagries as heavy downpour along with hail may damage the fruit trees and others crops.

Rain likely to be occurred at most places in mid and high reaches in next two days and many places in rest of state.

There is no change in the inclement weather conditions till April 21, Weathermen added.
